Top Ten Golf Drivers - Premium Drivers For Less

A majority of golf enthusiasts can attest to the fact that golf isn't relatively easy on their wallets. Most golf clubs and accessories are over-priced and are assumed to be the "best" in their respective categories. As such, some first-time players interested in the sport may not just encounter physical challenges but also financial setbacks. Nonetheless, most experienced golfers know that there is good and reliable equipment on sale in the market. They just have to exert enough time and effort to find them.

The golf clubs section of most sports stores is where most golfers spend their hard-earned cash on. Moreover, finding a relatively fair-priced driver for one's golfing needs can be quite a challenge. Nonetheless, there are various models out in the market that deliver top-caliber results with respectable financial values.

The first on the top ten golf drivers for golfers on a budget is the Macgregor Mactec NVG2 Draw driver. With a traditionally shaped head, the Macgregor Mactec NVG2 draw driver is a steal for most amateur and professional golfers. With its inverted cone technology, the Taylor-Made R7 presents a 1.5-degree launch-angle change for more experienced golfers. Moreover, it is available at discounted prices in various sports stores nationwide.

The Callaway FT-5 driver once claimed the title of the fastest driver on the planet. Since then, it has ceded its prestigious title to other drivers. Nonetheless, this driver features an effective lightweight body and an astounding graphite shaft. With an irresistible red, black and white motif, the Callaway FT-5 driver is now worth half of what it was before - a great steal for an amazing product.

Next is the sophisticated and sexy Cleveland Hibore XLS. With its head designed for a low center of gravity and balanced weight distribution, this Cleveland driver allows its use for more direct and accurate shots on the green. Designed for golfers who play with aggressive and consistent swings, this particular driver is certainly worth the investment.

Another contender on the top ten golf drivers for golfers on a budget includes the following driver model. Titleist 907D1 Driver features an interesting triangular head that is manufactured for perfect weight distribution. This club gives its users more control, distance, and of course, forgiveness. As such, this particular Titleist driver is the smart choice for golfers who frequently shape their dives. However, users should be wary of getting discounted prices for this model. As with most drivers, the Titleist driver can get a bit pricey at times. Click to Golf Hamburg

Five Decisions To Make Before Opening A Driving Range

So you want to open a driving range! Everyone loves the game of golf and everyone thinks the golf business is so (excuse the phrase) sexy! All you do is show up and hit golf balls or play golf. Of course, those of us in the industry know that the golf business can be very rewarding however, it can also be very grueling at times. Especially in a down economy when everybody's disposable income becomes smaller and smaller by the day.

With this being said, we will discuss five points that you need to think through before you open your driving range.

1. Choose the location for your driving range - The very first rule of any type of real estate is what? Come on you know it, location, location, location. You must have a good location. What does this mean?

You must have traffic passing by the property and people either working or living around it. For example, you could find a piece of land to rent or own close to a business park that may not have many houses around it. However, you would have a lot of traffic passing by the property. In addition, your marketing materials could include promotions for a business person's lunch including a bucket of golf balls.

The other option is to purchase or lease your land for your driving range close to a highly populated area. You would then prepare your projections based on the surrounding rooftops.

2. Set Realistic Initial Sales Projections - Projecting your sales potential and developing your first financial projections or budget is one of the more difficult things to do. However, you need to do them and do them thoroughly. Do not be shy or afraid to ask for help when it comes to attempting to project your sales potential. There are many free or low-cost tools for you to use such as the Small Business Administration or obtaining data from the National Golf Foundation.

3. How will the cash be handled - How you are going to take care of the cash may sound like a foregone conclusion but believe it or not it is overlooked all too often. As bad as it sounds, you just can not trust anyone but yourself. At one point in my career, I started a job in which the employee of the month was stealing the shop blind! Will you assign each employee a bank? What paperwork will you need you, employees, to fill out in the opening and closing shifts? Where will the money be deposited along with credit card transactions? And the list goes on and on.

4. Where are you going to price your driving range products and services - Many people make the mistake of being too careful here. What I mean by that is they set original prices too low and then have no opportunity to discount their product. Keep in mind that it is much easier to discount your price as opposed to raising prices.

Driving Range
Even if you are discounted down to the price that you are looking to achieve, the customer still feels like they got a deal and has a warm and fuzzy feeling.

5. Set the hours of the driving range and set your hours as well - Yes you will need to set the hours of the driving range but you will also need to set your own hours. If not, you can burn yourself out very quickly.

Again, being a part of the golf industry can be very rewarding as long as you take the proper planning steps to achieve the goals of your driving range.

How Different Golf Balls Can Lower Your Score

If you want to improve your golf game, buying better golf balls is a good place to start. Even if you don't golf, this information is very valuable to friends and family members who love to golf, so pass it on!

Since the 1950s, golf balls have become more and more technologically advanced than ever. With the rapid evolution of technology, production methods of a golf ball suitable for golfers' needs are crucial.

With such support from the technology of golf balls, today has become a factor in the optimization of your golf game in comparison to the mid-1500s. Therefore, each player must play a golf ball which is the optimization of your game for maximum performance.

As each golf ball is very different from the others, there are some critical factors that need to be compared to suit your needs. Golf ball to the effectiveness of the comparisons, these areas should be considered.

1. Materials of a golf ball - Golf ball composition differs from one manufacturer to another. Most of the golf ball is used to cover hard Surlyn types, but not necessarily the case further. The materials vary to suit different types of feel, distance, trajectory, and spin they are trying to achieve for certain categories of golfers.

The type of material is Surlyn, ionomer, urethane, and polybutadiene. Surlyn is normally used as the cover. However, there are exceptional cases, such as Surlyn with a thin layer to improve the speed and trajectory, while the display control with urethane. Soft urethane is used for the cover material that encourages spin around the green. Ionomer works great with the replacement of a soft Surlyn cover with more spin. Polybutadiene rubber typically forms the core of the golf ball.

2. The construction of a golf ball - Now golf ball comparisons can mean even comparing parts of a golf ball. Compared with the old balata golf ball, the pieces of a golf ball can vary from two to four pieces. Even the type of pieces varies from brand to brand. Callaway introduced a duo of four key pieces in your golf ball Tour I series. Compared to the Bridgestone B330 series of four double-layered mantle piece golf balls, the two are still four parts with different constructions.

The good news is, that you do not need to worry about the various types of buildings. You only have to focus on the core covered, the layer beneath the cover and the dimples. To

In the selection process, two-piece distance balls are usually of high-handicapped golfers. Three pieces have added control with a little more spin on the green. However, as the engineers of improvement, this information is not accurate, but can only be used as a guide to the golf ball comparisons.

3. Compression ratings - Golf ball ratings are mostly in the low compression. Compression ratings range from 0 to 200 the smoothest highest. With low compression, the lower velocity and less driver spin-off initial impact on the tee and vice versa. Greater speed means greater overall distance and sometimes is more difficult.

Note: Rates of compression over a major issue are discussed and evaluated in the network. For further clarification, see my website for more details.

Most golf balls on the market are low levels of compression. This type of compression is suitable for players under the kind of swing for better distance.

Different Golf Balls
4. Dimple - These are small depressions in the golf ball so common to see nowadays. These dimples improve flight paths and improved transportation and greater distance. The difference between the dimples of a golf ball to another is the size and depth. Typically, a hole in the most superficial depth will increase the height of a deep hole trajectory and reduce the height trajectory. It affects all the distance and the type of ball you want to roll after landing.

For a general guide, the type of ball flight they have today. If you have a low trajectory and distance you are playing a ball and want to improve your distance, you could consider switching to a golf ball with dimples distances of improving performance.

With this information, you can equip skills in determining the feel, spin, distance, trajectory, a tendency to hook or side spin, and roll These will help you in selecting the best ball golf for you and your current skill level.

For example, in comparison to golf balls A and B, we know that one is more difficult in the outer casing when reading the technical specifications. Surlyn cover urethane compared to cover means that the golf ball with Surlyn cover is much faster in the initial impact speed as all other factors remain constant.

Yet there is more to this than you think. Whenever we select the initial followed by a golf ball optimize, modify and update to other golf balls as the game grows.

Golf Swing Instruction: How You Can Get the Golf Ball Airborne Today

Topping a golf shot is embarrassing and frustrating. Why is it so hard to get the ball airborne on the proper trajectory? After all, you did take the time to go through your set-up routine checking alignment, posture, balance, and so on. You placed the club carefully behind the ball. You execute the backswing and then the downswing only to see a shot where the ball barely gets off the ground if at all (hence the term worm burner) rolling to a stop nowhere near your intended landing area. You are most likely left with an impossible second shot were going for the green is nearly out of the question. Now, this looks like the best you can do is bogey with double bogey very much in play.

When Double D, my golfing buddy, started topping shots a few weeks back he was so embarrassed and discouraged. He began trying to explain it to us as the round progressed. "I can't remember when I have ever topped the ball so much. That is just not like me. I have tried to make adjustments to correct the trajectory but I am still topping the ball." he said.

Well, his memory and mine are a bit different. As I recall he goes through spells where he tops the ball resulting in short and extremely low trajectory shots. So I gently reminded him that he had a similar problem this past January (We live in the Charlotte, NC area where year-round play is possible). Then while he was commiserating over another topped shot, this one his second to a long par 5, I asked him what he did to correct the issue the last time.

He replied that he had just downloaded a golf swing instructional eBook back then. He said that it had some good golf hamburg tips and drills. So I asked him, "When was the last time you looked it over?" To which he replied, "Based on the way I am playing it has been far too long! Let's go back to my place after the round and look that over. I can't stand to play this poorly any longer".

You see golf, unlike some other sports, is a game of opposites. A golfer must swing easily to hit the ball far, aim to the right to make the ball turn left, and then there is the one that was giving Dooley so much trouble that day. You must hit down on the ball to make it go up. That is how the rule of opposites works in golf.

This is counter-intuitive to most of us. We want to swing under the ball and lift it up into the air in an upward motion. That is logical but wrong because it ignores the laws of physics and the design of the face of the golf club. The lofted face is an important part of the club's mechanics; put trust in it and it will do most of the work for you.

Golf Swing Instruction

Jack Moorehouse explains it better than I can:

Here are 5 keys to stopping topped shots:

1 Address the ball with a normal stance

2 Position the ball inside your left heel

3 Use a one-piece takeaway

4 Use a descending blow

5 Finish in balance

To eliminate topped shots address the ball as you normally would, but make sure the ball is no further forward than the inside of your left heel. This is the base of your swing arc. Positioning the ball back in your stance enables you to make contact at the lowest point of your swing. Use a one-piece takeaway and strike the ball with a descending blow. Finish in balance.

Moving the ball back in your stance generates more backspin. This backspin, when applied correctly, works to negate the sidespin, which results in more control.

The Two Tee Drill

To stop topping shots put a tee in the spot you would normally use for a fairway wood. Instead of hitting from that tee, place another tee with a ball two inches behind the empty tee in front. As you hit a few shots focus on grazing the empty tee after you make contact with the ball. Repeat several times. As you practice, you'll see your shots gaining more and more height.

After practicing with the fairway wood, try other clubs requiring a descending-to-level blow for consistent contacts, such as hybrids, irons, and wedges. With hybrids, separate the tees one to two inches apart. With irons and wedges, an inch apart.

As you practice, you'll see the number of top balls or thin shots dwindle. Eventually, the topped shot will make its way out of your repertoire altogether. Read more After Work Hamburg

What To Write In Your Golf Journal

A golf journal is a useful tool to use as you are attempting to become a better player. Unfortunately, I rarely see anyone using anything as a golf journal to help them improve their game. It has even gotten to the point that I have gone bought an inexpensive notebook for my students. That is how important I think it is. I have recently started taking notes during the lessons. Once finished, we go to the office and I make a copy for them or if they are in a hurry I will scan my notes and email them to them. Compiling these notes creates a nice golf journal for my students.

The few students who do keep a golf log are always asking me what they should write in there. Well, it is your journal and should be for you and your golf instructor unless you decide to share it with others. Here are a few of the things that I keep in my golf journal. Some are obvious and some may surprise you.

Golf Journal

1. Golf lessons

Yes, golf professionals also take lessons! Even that guy named Tiger. I want to get as much out of my lessons as I can so at the end of every lesson. So with my instructor, I go back through the key points of our session that I should focus on in my upcoming practice sessions.

2. Practice sessions

As you know, anyone can get a bunch of thoughts going through their head while they are standing on a practice tee. As I begin my practice session, the golf journal helps to get me started right where I left off during my last practice session or round of golf. In addition, I refer back to it to keep me on the right track while I practice and not to start shooting off on many different tangents. We have all had a practice session, where we had a different swing thought for every single golf swing. I have never had much good come out of a practice session like that.

3. Swing thoughts

Of course, you want to jot down the swing thoughts that are working for you. What you are trying to do with your golf journal is to find tendencies in your own game. I have also written swing thoughts in my journal to NEVER use again. It can work both ways.

4. How you are feeling

Many people especially guys roll their eyes at me when I share this one with them. However, remember we are trying to find tendencies in our game. Maybe we feel tired after the 13th hole, 16th hole, or because the kids had a slumber party last night. Maybe you had a stressful day at work and were rushing to get to the golf course and did not have a chance to warm up. Can you really expect to play your best? These are the days we can learn the most from in order to create consistency in our golf game. Jotting down in a golf log can also include what you ate prior to the round and during the round. I have found that I tend to perform better when eating some foods prior to a round. In turn, I perform very poorly when I eat some other foods. You may say it is a coincidence but I can go to my golf journal and have a log of it.

Many of you probably thought I was going to spew the usual golf stats such as fairways hit, greens hit, a number of putts, etc to put into your golf journal. Although it is important to keep track of these stats to find your strengths and weaknesses, the factors mentioned above are also very important to keep you on the right track to improving your game!

How To Stop Choking In Golf

It doesn't matter whether you call it choking or having the Yips, this eventuality is beyond frustrating for any golfer.  Sometimes it just happens, but then the more frequently it happens the more you come to expect it to happen and then a self-fulfilling prophecy becomes an embedded part of your golf game.

For some golfers, choking is confined to one single part of the game.  Perhaps you have the yips when putting, or maybe when faced with an important sandy save, or alternatively it becomes your cross to bear when attempting to hit a tee shot or a tricky recovery shot from the rough.  For some golfers, it is specific to the shot, whereas for others it is related to the club or the particular circumstances in which you are found.

Every golfer has "choked" on some shot at some time.  The degree of choking and its frequency differs from one individual to another.  At first, you will recognize its appearance as a result of your lack of trust or lack of commitment to the shot in the hand.  But if it takes root and appears more often then you can see an automated pattern begin to appear that seems to happen unconsciously, of its own accord.

In this sense, it can be likened to a slight fear that has managed to puff itself up into a full-blown phobia.  It might be seen to be totally irrational.  But irrational or not, it is very real, and totally and utterly debilitating and frustrating for the golfer who is held within its octopus-like tentacles.

No amount of lessons or practice will unwrap those tentacles from your wrists and allow you to swing freely and regain control of your club.  It is not a physical or a mechanical issue.  It is an emotional and unconscious issue that has become entwined into a part of your game.  Its manifestations are physical and mechanical but its cause is anything but.

It has somehow become associated with or incorporated into your pre-shot routine.  Thus you need to shake your pre-shot routine up and change it.  You need to change whatever it is that serves to (unconsciously) trigger this instinctive and automated response.  If you change your pre-shot routine then you stand a very good chance of throwing off those choking tentacles.  Try it for yourself and see what happens.

choking in golf

The other thing that you might like to consider is the robustness of your post-shot routine.  If you had a bulletproof post-shot routine then any negative emotional responses to bad shots would have been left behind and there would be nothing left over with which to trigger the choke or the yips.

I have also found it beneficial to suggest to golfers who suffer from the yips that they work an extra component into their pre-shot routine; One that involves intentionally relaxing his or their muscles so as to promote fluidity and naturalness of motion.  Once again, try it and see how this feels for you.  Everyone is different and so you have to try things and make them work in your own way.

As I always end up saying, golf is a very, very mental game.  Even things that appear to be entirely mechanical or physical incorporate a huge mental component.  Every swing that you make begins with a thought, be it conscious or unconscious.  To play golf well, one has to respect the input of his or her mind and work to control and direct both conscious and unconscious thought and emotional processes.
